Rule #1 - Give Every $$$ a Job

Whether you have money in a checking or savings account, you should give it a job. Don’t let your money own you - show it who is boss.

You may know you spend $200/week on groceries for the family, but do you know you’re about to spend $1,000 on new tires in less than six months? You’ll learn how to transform seemingly random expenses into something more manageable.

Rule #3 - Role With the Punches

When you run into something unexpected and overspend in a category you just roll with it. After all, it is your money and your strategy. No guilt necessary.

Rule #4 - Age Your Money

This rule is really more of an outcome of having a successful money plan. It means you’ve built up a cushion and increased the time between when you get paid and when you spend that money. Rule #4 means that you are still spending money from last month and not immediately spending money from your current paycheck. Congratulations, you’ve broken the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle!
