Born in Denmark, Rasmus moved to Sydney, Australia, at the age of two before settling in Austin, Texas, at 13. A lifelong athlete, basketball was his first passion, leading him to play competitively from the age of eight. His dedication earned him a full-ride scholarship to Fort Lewis College, where he played a key role in the teams success winning two regular season championships and a conference tournament title. He graduated in 2018 with a degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management option and minors in Marketing and Coaching.
After college, Rasmus pursued a professional basketball career overseas, playing three and a half seasons in Denmark for Randers Cimbria and another three seasons across Australia and New Zealand where he played for the New Zealand Breakers and Brisbane Bullets. While overseas he furthered his education, earning a Masters in Sports Management from the University of Texas at Austin.
Following his retirement from professional basketball in the summer of 2023, he transitioned into the medical sales industry, joining Stryker’s Sports Medicine division as an Associate Sales Representative in January 2024. Now based in Albuquerque, NM, he lives with his wife, Lindley, and continues to figure out his next passions in life as a young professional.
